The Monday Musts is a new weekly meme hosted by Lovin' Los Libros,
where you share what you consider a must-read book, a must-listen
song/album/artist, and something that's a must see (TV show, movie,
blog, pictures, etc).
Welcome to Monday Musts! Why the Irish edition you ask? Well, I'm obsessed with all things Irish and since St. Patrick's Day is this week, I decided to dedicate the week to things having to do with the Emerald Isle. Stay tuned the rest of the week for more Irish goodness!
My musts for this week:
~ Must Read ~
~ Must Listen ~
~ Must See ~
Three of my favourite movies set at least partly in Ireland: PS I Love You (the book is also fantastic, and it's written by Irish author Cecelia Ahern), Leap Year (which is doubly fitting this year since it is a leap year), and Laws of Attraction. All three of these are romantic comedies (although PS I Love You is also incredibly heartbreaking and makes me cry like a baby every time I watch it).
What do you think of my musts? What are your
musts for the week? Tell me in the comments, or if you participated in
The Monday Musts this week, feel free to leave a link to your post in
the comments and I'll visit you back!
Aw! I love Leap Year. I watched it on Feb. 29 because it seemed like the right thing to do! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, nice! I actually planned to do the same thing but then ended up having my niece and nephew here all day and didn't get a chance.
DeleteO Marie, I want to be you when I grow up! Such pretty pictures! Are you on Instagram? If not, you should be. I am part Irish (who isn't?) and I love all of your suggestions. Have a fine week.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Ardis, you've made my day! <3 I am on Instagram (SweetMarie_83) and I'm completely addicted. I've actually almost given up on other social media sites in favour of Instagram, since the bookstagram community is so lovely. :-)
DeleteI have only heard the Tim McGraw version of When the Stars Go Blue before and oh my word ANY song would sound better coming from Bono. Love that so much!!! I've instantly become obsessed! Anyway, I've never read a Nora Roberts book before and I feel like she is one of the original queens of contemporary romance so I should probably change that one of these days. The only one of those movies I haven't seen before is Laws of Attraction but I absolutely loved the other 2. I've watched both many times over. Love your Irish theme this week!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're right, any song would sound better coming from Bono! ;-) So glad I could introduce someone else to this song, since it's a favourite. And you should definitely try Nora Roberts books AND Laws of Attraction if you get a chance. :-)
DeleteHmm, I don't have any favorite Irish things. It's all Scottish. LOL
ReplyDeleteHaha! Understandable, since Scottish things seem to be more prevalent for some reason. I have a hell of a time finding books and movies set in Ireland, but it's easy if you're looking for something set in Scotland, especially books.
DeleteWhat a wonderful idea to make your Monday Musts post Irish themed, wish I would have thought of that LOL And I just love ALL your choices :) I used to read a lot of Nora Roberts but haven't read the Gallaghers of Ardmore trilogy so I will be checking those out. And Bono, what's not to love there? He's just fabulous at anything he sings! Your movie choices are perfect and PS I Love You is definitely a favorite of mine. Great post!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! And yes, Bono is definitely fabulous at anything he sings! ;-) I actually started re-reading the Gallaghers of Ardmore trilogy last night and it only took me a second to remember why I loved these books so much - highly recommend them!
DeleteLove the Irish themed post! I loved Leap Year too!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteIsn't it just the cutest movie? I managed to squeeze it in on St. Paddy's since I didn't get to on Leap Day, haha
Love love love the theme! Great pick re: movies and I am going to check out that Nora Roberts series!
ReplyDeleteMy Monday Musts!
Thank you! :-D
DeleteOh I love the Irish theme this week! So much fun! I haven't ever read Nora Roberts before, but I'm always game for some good romance!
ReplyDeleteI love the song When The Stars Go Blue! I haven't heard their version and it's wonderful! I loved The Corrs back in the day!
I've never watched Leap Year! I remember wanting to, but just never did!
Thank you! Nora Roberts' books are so great. She's one of my go-tos for great romance. The Corrs are one of my favourite bands, and it always bummed me out that more people didn't know of them, so I'm happy to hear you loved them too! And you should definitely see Leap Year if you get a chance, it's super cute and funny.
