The Classics Reading Challenge 2013

The Classics Reading Challenge is hosted by one of my best online friends, Jessica from Thoughts at One in the Morning. I signed up for this challenge for 2012 and only ended up reading one classic - Peter Pan by JM Barrie (although I'm going to try to squeeze in another short one before January 1st!). For 2013, Jess is eliminating 'levels' to make the challenge a bit more laid-back and to encourage people to read classics and take pride in reading them, whether it's one book or a ton of books.

Some of the classics I'd like to read:
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
The Princess Bride by William Goldman
Anne of Avonlea by LM Montgomery (re-read)
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt (re-read)

What are some of your favourite classics? Are you going to sign up for this challenge?

  1. YES! The Princess Bride. You. Are. Going. To. Love. It. I'd like to be able to reread Anne Of Avonlea too, but I saw Emily Of New Moon on my shelf and I never finished THAT series either. We'll see how it goes next year. ;) Glad you're joining! <3
