Want to join the Scarlet Read-Along?

Hi guys! No Book Haul/Stacking the Shelves today. I got a ton of great stuff this week that I would have loved to show off, but my nephew's been here every day and I haven't had time to make a video! I'm expecting a ton of stuff this week, so next weekend's haul should be pretty epic.

Anyway...just a quick post today to let you know about a read-along Jessica and I are doing. I've been wanting to read A.C. Gaughen's debut novel Scarlet most of this year, and I finally caved and bought a copy last month because I just had to have it and couldn't wait any longer. When I discovered Jess had bought a copy too, I was really excited. She suggested we read it at the same time since we've been wanting to do that for awhile now, and then I got the idea that we should invite other people to join us. So...does anyone want to join in on the read-along? Jessica and I plan to start reading it November 1st, and if we can get more people to join us maybe we'll make it into an actual event somehow? Discussion posts, maybe questions about the book...who knows. I've heard amazing things about Scarlet, and I think it would be so much fun to read it as a group!

If anyone's interested in joining us November 1st, just leave a comment below. Since prizes are usually an incentive to people, I'm going to talk to Jessica about coming up with a giveaway IF we can get a few people to join us. ;-)

***Update*** AC Gaughen has very generously offered to donate bookmarks for the read-along! Doesn't that make you want to sign up? *grins*

Many readers know the tale of Robin Hood, but they will be swept away by this new version full of action, secrets, and romance.

Posing as one of Robin Hood’s thieves to avoid the wrath of the evil Thief Taker Lord Gisbourne, Scarlet has kept her identity secret from all of Nottinghamshire. Only the Hood and his band know the truth: the agile thief posing as a whip of a boy is actually a fearless young woman with a secret past. Helping the people of Nottingham outwit the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham could cost Scarlet her life as Gisbourne closes in.

It’s only her fierce loyalty to Robin—whose quick smiles and sharp temper have the rare power to unsettle her—that keeps Scarlet going and makes this fight worth dying for.
I hope you'll join us!
