The clock is ticking on the entire paranormal world. And its fate rests solely in Evie's hands.
So much for normal.
I was looking forward to finding out how this trilogy ended, while at the same time I was sad to say goodbye to these now-familiar and beloved characters. The Paranormalcy trilogy has a bit of everything - fascinating and varied supernatural creatures, romance, humour, action, suspense, and even a bit of mystery. It’s definitely one of the most unique trilogies I’ve ever read.
That being said, Endlessly wasn’t my favourite book in the trilogy. It was good, but the pacing felt really slow to me. It took me five days to read the book, and there were times when I wondered how it could possibly go on for another 100+ pages. Also, I didn’t swoon over Lend in this one like I did in the other two, although I did continue to swoon over Reth. He walked a fine line between good guy and bad guy, and for the most part he had Evie’s best interests at heart, even though his own interests were mostly selfish. He was one of my favourite characters throughout the trilogy, and I wouldn’t mind someday seeing a companion novel about Reth, or something from his perspective.
All that being said, I did enjoy the fact that Endlessly had the same humour, action, and suspense of the first two books, and I like how things were wrapped up. I always worry that trilogies or series will leave things hanging or come to an unsatisfying close, but I was pleased with how things ended - plus it was certainly in keeping with the overall originality of the entire trilogy.
While Endlessly wasn’t my favourite installment of the Paranormalcy trilogy, I still think it was a great end to an incredibly original, funny, and quirky trilogy, and I’d have no hesitation recommending it to any fan of supernatural books.
Have you read Endlessly or any of the other books in the Paranormalcy trilogy? What did you think?

AH! I still need to read the first book. I'll read this once I get caught up, but I am glad to see you gave it 4 stars. :D
ReplyDeleteI've heard that while everyone loved the first one the next two weren't all that great. :( I've yet to start the series but already my expectations are lowered.
ReplyDeleteI really need to read ENDLESSLY. I read the other two and I lover the style of the book. Thanks for the review!
