What do you think of when you think of Canada?
I think of the beautiful scenery, the hugeness of this country, the diversity of it, the CN Tower in Toronto, Clifton Hill and the Falls in Niagara Falls, Parliament Hill in Ottawa, the giant lobster in Shediac, New Brunswick, Terry Fox, the Anne of Green Gables house in Prince Edward Island, poutine, maple syrup, Tim Hortons, toques, pop, red soil in Prince Edward Island, the ferry to Amherst Island, loonies and toonies, The Air Canada Centre and Roger's Centre in Toronto, the gorgeous old buildings in Kingston, the wind turbines on Wolfe Island, feeling like you've stepped back in time in Quebec City, Road to Avonlea, Due South, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Confederation Bridge between New Brunswick and PEI.
I love this country and I am so proud to be Canadian.

I think of Anne Of Green Gables and Prince Edward Island. I always adored the countryside view when watching the movie and it is in my top 3 places I want to go someday. I also think of how my grandma used to go to Toronto to see Phantom Of The Opera live. And I think of the fact that I need to get to Canada to visit you!!!
ReplyDeleteLove these fun facts! I need to plan a trip to Canada one of these days. :)
ReplyDeleteI live in Alberta and always thought it was so cool that I lived in the same city where the largest mall in the world was! I remember getting lost in that mall. Now, of course, it's easy to find my way, but back then I thought it was HUGE!
ReplyDeleteAwesome facts ... I always love learning more about my country!
You guys have to see my famous major facts about Manitoba! I wrote a great article before Canada Day. Marie knew our Winnie-The-Poo detail but there are bigger ones people don't know. :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Alberta - fellow prairie gal to the west! And I'm excited about out-of-country folks here: welcome! *Carolyn M. Riedel*
