I got this idea from the amazingly wonderful Jessica from Thoughts at One in the Morning. Every Thursday, I’ll be posting an update on my reading, writing, what’s going on at the blog, and anything else I think should be mentioned.
I've had a busy/weird week since my update last Thursday. On Friday I spent the morning and part of the afternoon with my sister-in-law, then felt really sick when I got home, so I didn't get anything done. Saturday was one of my childhood best friend's bridal shower and bachelorette party, and after a rather lengthy drinking binge, I didn't feel like doing much on Sunday. All this week I've had Logan (my 2-year-old nephew) here as usual, and yesterday I ended up spending most of the day with aforementioned childhood bff running wedding errands with her. So...I still haven't gotten much reading or writing done, and I have another few busy days ahead. I'm hoping to pick up the pace with my reading and get much more read in June than I did in May, and I'm still hopeful that I'll be able to finish book #2 very soon.
Reading:
Currently reading:
CelebraTORI by Tori Spelling (still reading)
Darklight by Lesley Livingston
Lies Beneath by Anne Greenwood Brown
Finished reading:
Well, I didn't technically finish it, but I'm done reading The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa. I've only read the first in her Iron Fey series and loved it, and people are raving about The Immortal Rules, but I found it so boring and painfully slow I could only read a few pages at a time, so I only got about 1/4 of the way through before my ARC from NetgGalley expired on Monday (and this was after spending nearly a month reading it). My library doesn't have it yet, but if they ever do get it I might try to finish it...I'm certainly not in any hurry, though! I might just stick with the Iron Fey series.
This week on the blog:
Book Review: The Summer My Life Began by Shannon GreenlandI can't believe I only did two blog posts since last Thursday. There's just been too much going on, and my blog has taken a bit of a hit because of it. Hopefully next week I'll have more posts for you guys - a Book Haul on Sunday, a few more reviews, and maybe a discussion post if I can swing it.
I hope you're all having a great week, and I hope you're getting more accomplished than I am!
