New blog and new feature

Who really needs more than one blog? Or better yet, who needs three blogs? Well, I do, apparently.

I have this blog for books, and Marie Landry, Author for writing. You all know how much I love being a book blogger - it's kept me sane over the last year, finally having people to talk books with who understand what it's like to lose yourself in a good book, fall in love with fictional characters, and daydream about far off places that only exist in your imagination. And then, of course, there are the book blogger themselves - I've met so many amazing people, and I've made a few good friends. I wouldn't trade book blogging for the world. BUT...sometimes I want to talk about things other than reading and writing. Sometimes I'd like to share my photographs or graphic designs. I've done this a few times here on Ramblings of a Daydreamer, but it just feels weird, and I don't want to lose viewers who are here solely to talk books. I also didn't want to clutter up my author blog with a bunch of random stuff.

So the idea for Lost and Found - Reflections of a Daydreamer was born. It's a place where I can talk about anything and everything - life, love, family, travel, movies and TV shows and music I love, rant and rave, and share my photographs. It's brand new - I just started it on Monday - but I'm already having fun with it.

Last night I got an idea for a feature I wanted to do. At first I thought it would just be something I did on my own, but then I thought other people might like to join me. It's called Flashback Fridays, and the idea is to talk about anything from the past - childhood memories, movies or TV shows you loved, trips you took, whatever. If you're a book blogger and want to keep your blog strictly book-related, you could do favorite childhood books, or spotlight books you read in the last few years that really stuck with you.

If anyone else is interested in this, I'll create a Linky and include it with my post every week so people can link up and we can blog hop to other people's Flashback Friday posts.

Here's my first Flashback Friday post so you can get an idea of what it's about. I hope some of you will be interested in joining. You don't have to do it every week of course, just whenever you have time!

  1. Sounds like a neat idea. My blog seems to be a bit of whatever I want... so your Flashback Friday sounds like a neat idea!
