*blows trumpet and unrolls scroll*

We're having a feast and you're invited! What would you bring? What would you wear? Who would you bring? What games would you play? Share pictures, recipes, drawings, and/or descriptions of any or all the above!

Welcome to the feast! Pull up a tree stump and join the festivities. We've got all kinds of food and drink, games, and merriment happening today. What are we celebrating? I don't know...do we need a reason? We're called the 'merry' (wo)men for a reason right? ;-)

I can picture the whole thing in my head: deer roasting on a spit, stews and soups simmering in huge pots over an open fire, fresh baked bread, plenty of mead and ale. There would be archery tournaments, and maybe Robin would teach people how to shoot a bow and arrow (it's something I've always wanted to learn, and who better to learn from than Robin himself?). People would gather around the fire to eat, telling stories and jokes, and singing songs.

I would love to wear a fancy, elaborate dress, but I don't think I'd really fit in wearing it! I've always loved those little green peaked hats Robin wears, so if I had that and a cloak (I have a thing for cloaks too), I'd be happy. My guest of choice would be my co-host and partner in crime (crime...heh, get it, Robin Hood? Yeah I'm a geek) Jessica; we could sit together and swoon and sigh over Robin. ;-)

I'm a good cook, so I could man some of the stews and stuff (as long as no one asks me to touch the deer), but I also made cookies!

At the end of the feast, everyone would go home happy and full, and Robin would make sure their purses held coins.

How do you picture the feast?

Cheers, friends!

  1. I love the word picture you've painted for me! Archery!!! Learning from Robin himself? VERY YES.

You know what? I was going to mention bringing you, but then I thought (being the practical person I am), "But Marie's ALREADY going, we're cohosting the feast," so I mentioned my real life friend. Partner in crime, YES. Swoon over Robin, YES.

    COOKIES!!!
