My thoughts on Scarlet so far:
*Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't read Scarlet*

I’m loving everything about Scarlet so far. The characters, the story, the tension, the hint of possible romance, the writing - all of it. All these little tidbits are being dropped that make me so curious. What is Scarlet’s history? Who is she really and what is her connection to Gisbourne? I’m fascinated by the fact that she’s the one who taught the merry men to steal. My mouth literally dropped open at that. How did she learn, and why did she have to? She’s so strong and tough and independent; she’s not exactly fearless, but she sees fear as a weakness, and there’s no room for it in her life. She doesn’t want to depend on Robin or John or get too close to them. I’m absolutely fascinated by her, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

  1. Yes! The best thing about Scarlet is, well, Scarlet. A fascinating character. Her visit to the church just added another layer; I can't wait to read more.

  2. Scarlet is such a mystery, isn't she? But I love that she is so independent. I love to see tough girls in books, it empowers me IRL. :)
