Labor Day Read-a-Thon Goals and Updates

Letters Inside Out button

The Labor Day Read-a-Thon is hosted by Amanda at Letters Inside Out. It runs from todatm August 31st-September 3rd, and sign-ups are open through tomorrow.

I've become a read-a-thon fiend, and since I haven't gotten much read this past week, I thought a read-a-thon was in order to get a bunch of reading done over this long weekend. I have no other plans for the weekend (boo!), so I figure I should be able to get quite a bit of reading done.

First I need to finish So Damn Lucky by Deborah Coonts. I have a ton of books to read, and I'm not sure what I'll be in the mood for, but here are some of my choices:
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
Cicada by Belle Whittington
Wake by Amanda Hocking
Once by Anna Carey

Since I'm a pretty slow reader, I'm not sure how many books I'll actually get read, but I'm going to set a goal of 500 pages for the four days. I'll likely be posting all my updates in this post rather than separate posts.

If you're participating, be sure to let me know so I can come visit you and cheer you on!

Finished So Damn Lucky by Deborah Coonts (75 pages), and started My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick (58 pages)
Total pages: 133/500 pages

Read 210 pages of My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick. This book is SO good. 210 pages in one day is pretty amazing for me since I'm so slow!
Total pages: 343/500 pages

After unexpectedly being out for part of the day (yay!), I only got...wait for it...10 pages read (boo!). Not good, especially after reading 210 yesterday. Hopefully tomorrow I can do better and reach my goal. How's everyone else doing?
Total pages: 353/500 pages

Finished My Life Next Door (150 pages), and started Once by Anna Carey (42 pages)
Total pages: 545/500 pages

I met my goal! I'm happy with how I did. A big thanks to Amanda for hosting!

  1. Page count goals are awesome. That's what I usually do for readathons, but I didn't this time. No goals, just reading. I hope you are enjoying your books!

  2. Ah, I want to read My Life Next Door so much!

    Happy reading! :)

Thanks for visiting Ramblings of a Daydreamer! I love hearing what you have to say, and I appreciate every single comment. I hope to see you here again soon! ♥
