Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine and is meant to showcase upcoming releases that we're eagerly awaiting. This week I'm waiting on...
Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood
Expected publication: February 7th, 2012
Synopsis: Everybody knows Cate Cahill and her sisters are eccentric. Too pretty, too reclusive, and far too educated for their own good. But the truth is even worse: they're witches. And if their secret is discovered by the priests of the Brotherhood, it would mean an asylum, a prison ship—or an early grave.
Before her mother died, Cate promised to protect her sisters. But with only six months left to choose between marriage and the Sisterhood, she might not be able to keep her word . . . especially after she finds her mother's diary, uncovering a secret that could spell her family's destruction. Desperate to find alternatives to their fate, Cate starts scouring banned books and questioning rebellious new friends, all while juggling tea parties, shocking marriage proposals, and a forbidden romance with the completely unsuitable Finn Belastra.
If what her mother wrote is true, the Cahill girls aren't safe. Not from the Brotherhood, the Sisterhood—not even from each other.

What are you waiting on this week?

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Should Be Reading. All you have to do is answer these 3 questions:
1. What are you currently reading?
2. What did you recently finish reading?
3. What do you think you'll read next?
Simple right? I love to read and love to know what other people are reading!

What are you currently reading? Right now, I'm reading Hearts at Stake, the first book in the Drake Chronicles by Alyxandra Harvey. I'm almost done and I'm really loving this book!
What did you recently finish reading? Tonight, I finished Being Human by Patricia Lynne. My review for that will be up later this week or next week. Before that, I finished Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.
What do you think you'll read next? Next up for ebooks is Farsighted by Emlyn Chand. And once I'm finished Hearts at Stake, I'll probably read Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce.
What have you been reading lately?
The cover of Born Wicked does look pretty, the flowers look cool. The book itself sounds good too :)

I might have to check out the Drake Chronicles...
ReplyDeleteHere's my WWW Wednesday post. :)
Yes, Born Wicked looks very promising. I can't remember who it was (and I'm way too tired to check...) but someone on the Linky had a link to sample chapters for part of their WoW. It was someone before me and they were mid to late on the list up til that point. Anyway, great choice. I am definitely looking forward to that one.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for Born Wicked. I love the cover - just that alone is worth a buy! ;)
