WWW Wednesdays (13) & Waiting on Wednesday (2)

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Should Be Reading.  All you have to do is answer these 3 questions:

1. What are you currently reading?
2. What did you recently finish reading?
3. What do you think you'll read next?

Simple right?  I love to read and love to know what other people are reading!

What are you currently reading?
I'm reading Rules of the Road by Joan Bauer. It's been on my TBR list for years and I just finally got around to it. I'm really enjoying it so far.

What did you recently finish reading?
The other day, I finished reading Coffee at Little Angels by Nadine Rose Larter (my review for it will be up tomorrow, I'm getting a bit behind), and just before that, I finished The Boys Next Door by Jennifer Echols.

What do you think you'll read next?
Up next is That Day in September by Artie Van Why, an ebook I was sent for review.

What are you reading this week?  Have you read any of the books on my list?  Have any suggestions?  I'd love to hear from you!

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine and is meant to showcase upcoming releases that we're eagerly awaiting.   This week I'm waiting on...

Witch Song by Amber Argyle
Publication date: September 1st, 2011

Synopsis: The world is changing. Once, Witch Song controlled everything from the winds to the shifting of the seasons-but not anymore. All the Witches are gone, taken captive by a traitor. All but Brusenna. As the echo of their songs fade, the traitor grows stronger. Now she is coming for Brusenna. Her guardian has sworn to protect her, but even he can't stop the Dark Witch. Somehow, Brusenna has to succeed where every other Witch has failed. Find the traitor. Fight her. Defeat her. Because if Brusenna doesn't, there won't be anything left to save.

This book sounds so good, I can't wait to read it! For more information and to learn more about the author, check out Amber's blog.

What are you waiting on this week?

  2. There are a number of YA books on my immediate TBR pile: 'Sean Griswold's Head', 'The Liar Society', 'The Secret Year', and many more. If you have not yet read a book by Julie Halpern (Get Well Soon, Into the Wild Nerd Yonder), I recommend it! Great contemporary fiction.

  11. I liked your review of The Boys Next Door. I kind of hated the book at first b/c of the points you mentioned. But as I continued--and I'm glad I did--I found Lori's behavior was well-suited to her character. Although, I still think the showing skin aspect does send a poor message. Nice review!
